Why fuel matters

The geostationary ring is not flat. Earth's equator bulges, and anything left unattended slides toward one of two gravitational wells — 75.3°E over the Indian Ocean, 104.7°W over the Pacific. Set the station-keeping coverage and run it: this is the model, not live chain data.

The short version

Q1What am I actually buying?

One satellite of 4,320, parked in one of 360 geostationary slots, on Solana under Metaplex Core. The longitude is written into the asset. Everything else about it — band, propellant, record — changes with what you do.

Q2Why 360 and why 12?

Because the real geostationary ring is divided by degree of longitude, and the ITU assigns slots the same way. Twelve to a degree gives 4,320 birds — tight enough that a sector can actually be cornered, loose enough that nobody starts cornered.

Q3What happens if I never burn $VEC?

Nothing, for a while. Then your bird starts drifting one slot at a time toward 75.3°E or 104.7°W, whichever is nearer. It stays yours the whole time — it just stops being where you put it, and a slot with nobody left in it goes dark until somebody parks there again.

Q4Is any of this a promise of returns?

No. The pot, the burn and the payouts are mechanics written into the contract, not a forecast. Collectibles and memecoins lose value routinely and this one can go to zero. Read the contract, spend what you can lose.
